New Jersey Future Statement on Governor Murphy’s 2022 State of the State Address

TRENTON, January 11, 2022- New Jersey Future Executive Director Peter Kasabach and Managing Director of Policy and Water Chris Sturm released the following statements on Governor Murphy’s State of the State address:

“As we forge ahead in 2022, New Jersey Future commends the governor for his advancement of economic recovery and growth for everyone; safer, more reliable, and more sustainable public transportation; and environmental justice across the state,” said New Jersey Future Executive Director Peter Kasabach. “We are encouraged by his recognition of climate change as an existential threat, which we will continue to help this administration address through proactive climate resilience planning. Most importantly, we are pleased that this administration understands that our work is far from done, and that we must continue to collectively pursue lasting change.”

“We applaud the governor’s commitment to the health of every New Jersey resident,” said Managing Director of Policy and Water Chris Sturm. “New Jersey Future looks forward to continuing to work with the Murphy administration to foster healthy communities through investments that deliver safe drinking water and flood protections.”
