New Jersey Future Trustee Ingrid Reed Wins AIA-NJ Award
February 18th, 2015 by Elaine Clisham
At a ceremony on Jan. 9, the New Jersey chapter of the American Institute of Architects presented the 2014 Resident of the Year Award to New Jersey Future trustee and senior fellow Ingrid W. Reed.
The award recognizes “a person who has made major contributions to the built environment and the quality of life through community activity, legislative involvement, professional (non-architect) practice or by means of other appropriate activities,” says the association.
Ms. Reed is a founding trustee of New Jersey Future and currently serves on its executive committee. She formerly directed the Eagleton New Jersey Project, an initiative designed to reinforce and expand the contributions of Rutgers’ Eagleton Institute of Politics to the governance and politics of its home state. She writes columns on New Jersey politics for numerous publications, she co-hosts a talk show on her local community television channel, and she is frequently interviewed for analysis of New Jersey politics. Ms. Reed has served on the New Jersey planning committee for implementing the federal Help America Vote Act; as chair of the Capital City (Trenton) Redevelopment Corp.; and as a trustee of the Community Foundation of New Jersey. Before joining the Eagleton Institute, she was vice president for public affairs and corporate secretary of The Rockefeller University in New York City, and assistant dean of Princeton University’s Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs, where she also directed the Rockefeller Public Service Awards Program.
New Jersey Future Executive Director Peter Kasabach was presented with the same award for 2013.
