UPDATE: ARC Tunnel Upgraded from Dead to Critical Condition

After announcing an immediate termination of the ARC Tunnel project yesterday, Governor Christie offered a reprieve today, agreeing to a two-week extension to allow further study to review options for the project.
While today’s development was good news, the project is still in dire straights. The ARC Tunnel is critical to New Jersey’s long-term economic growth and quality of life, and New Jersey Future will be working with all of our partners over the next two weeks to build support for the project moving forward.

Maybe to try to force the issue and get additional Federal funds, or something like that?
